Please seed the torrent you downloaded. Seeding will not harm. In no way upload speed will harm your Download speed or Surfing speed
1) What is Peering?
Ans) Peering is a process by which two Internet networks connect and exchange traffic. It allows them to directly hand off traffic between each other’s customers, without having to pay a third party to carry that traffic across the Internet for them. Peering is distinct from transit, the more usual way of connecting to the Internet, in which an end user or network operator pays another, usually larger, network operator to carry all their traffic for them.
Peering and its concept.
This is Exactly how Peering works in Siti BB
Suppose you are downloading a movie by UTorrent. And you are the first down-loader of the movie in your ISP’s local network (means your ISP uses the IP addresses in your area from 172.16./172.18 etc etc ). Then while downloading you will see in the Torrent client that in the peer list a peer with a client lib-torrent 0.13.2. While you’re downloading the file in your normal downloading speed and simultaneously uploading the file to the libcache peer. This peer is nothing but a Central server located on your ISP’s main server office. It is server with very high capacity (may be 40TB storage) and having a high capacity LAN port capacity. So the main thing is being done here is that the file you downloading via your torrent client for first time is automatically being stored in that high capacity server placed by your ISP. And this libcache peer will be added automatically on all public trackers.
Now the file is stored on the server. The very next day another user of your ISP is going to download the file. Else take it as many other users in your ISP are just started downloading the same file you downloaded & uploaded in the ISP’s server. Now here is the place where the reason of huge speed lies. Whenever the other user tries to download the file he depends less on the peers other than his ISP’s and depends most on the Central libcache peer. Now as peer the internet cable capacity & the central server’s port capacity everyone downloads the file at a huge speed (may go high as 45 MBps).
2) What is CacheBt and Lib Torrent?
Ans) In Layman language they both are cache server of Siti BB which stores files.
3) How can i add Lib Torrent or CacheBT to my torrent?
Ans) Sorry You cannot add yourself.
3A) Is there anyway to findout which file is cached before dwonloading?
Ans) NO. There is no way to findout whether the file is cached or not before downloading.
4) Does Siti BB provide YouTube Peering?
Ans) NO.
5) What is Local peering?
Ans ) Local Peering allows users to interconnect with each other to enable the exchange of data traffic within their Local Area or others Siti customers.
6) What will the upload and download speed in Local Peer?
Ans ) Unlimited.
7) How will i get local peer?
Ans) There are 2 kinds of Local peers:- (a) Hosted by the Service Provider, b) If some one has the file in your Local Area and he is seeding that file, you will get the local peer and unltd speed.
8 ) What is Caching?
Caching is a technique that is used to temporarily store a copy of information that has been requested by a piece of software or hardware. Cached information is generally stored closer to the requester than the permanent information is. It is also generally stored on a physical device capable more rapid delivery than the originating device.
8a) What is Web cache or HTTP Peering?
Ans) A web cache is a mechanism for the temporary storage (caching) of web documents, Files, such as All types of Files Whether its a software, apps, or Games, HTML pages and images, to reduce bandwidth usage, server load, and perceivedlag. A web cache stores copies of documents passing through it; subsequent requests may be satisfied from the cache if certain conditions are met.
9) What are the meaning of FLAGS in BitTorrent or uTorrent?
?: your client unchoked the peer but the peer is not interested,
D: currently downloading from the peer (interested and not choked),
d: your client wants to download, but peer doesn’t want to send (interested and choked),
E: peer is using Protocol Encryption (all traffic),
e: peer is using Protocol Encryption (handshake),
F: peer was involved in a hashfailed piece (not necessarily a bad peer, just involved),
H: peer was obtained through DHT,
h: peer connection established via UDP hole-punching,
I: peer established an incoming connection,
K: peer unchoked your client, but your client is not interested,
L: peer has been or discovered via Local Peer Discovery,
O: optimistic unchoke
P: peer is communicating and transporting data over uTP
S: peer is snubbed,
U: currently uploading to the peer (interested and not choked),
u: the peer wants your client to upload, but your client doesn’t want to (interested and choked)
X: peer was included in peer lists obtained through Peer Exchange (PEX)
10) What is HFS?
Ans) HFS (Http File Server) is file sharing software which allows you to send and receive files. If you share file within SitiBB , you will get Hi-Speed. You can limit this sharing to just a few friends, or be open to the whole world.
11) Advantage , Disadvantage and Requirements for Auto-Login?
Advantages:- a) Always ON, b) No need to login from Webpage or Client, c) Torrent Peering will be available.
Disadvantages :- a) HTTP Peering Not Available, b) Password cant be changed, c) Happy-Hours facility will not be applicable
Requirements :- Minimum Plan should be 512kbps
Process :- Call CC they will Activate or De-activate.
12) What is Happy-Hours and What are its timing and How to avail it?
Ans) Happy Hours from 1 A.M TO 7 A.M wherein Unlimited packages would get double the speed. i.e. 256kbps will get 512kbps and so on. To avail it you just have to Re-Login into your SitiBB account at the mentioned time.
13) My speeds vary from time to time. Why is this?
Ans) Your broadband connection is shared with tens – sometimes hundreds – of other users at your ISP before it is connected with the ISP’s own links into the internet. During periods of high demand, which tend to be early evenings, this can cause congestion.
14) The results I get from the speed tests are higher than I’m seeing on other downloads. Why?
Ans) The broadband speed test is designed to reflect web traffic over other internet usages. Some ISPs monitor and slow down non-web traffic of various kinds, giving different speeds for different programs: also, other software behaves differently from web browsing and can be more or less sensitive to performance bottlenecks.
15) Can Broadband connection be misused by tampering the cable?
Ans) NO, it cannot be tampered if the access to Internet connection is secured by assigning a Password. It is advisable for the users to secure their PC by using proper user ID and Password. Users should also frequently change the password to avoid any misuse.
16 ) What is the permissible minimum Broadband speed limit?
Ans) As per the regulation on “Quality of Service standards for Broadband Services” issued by TRAI on 6th May, 2006, a subscriber should get minimum 80% of the subscribed broadband connection speed from ISP Node to user.
17) Do i have to keep running my PC if i use wifi router?
Ans) NO.
To get high Speed please keep your Duplex settings to 100mbps full duplex.
Please seed the torrent you downloaded. Seeding will not harm. In no way upload speed will harm your Download speed or Surfing speed
